The event will be televised by El Sembrador/ESNE-TV over its network of individual homes and cable systems in the United States and Mexico, and be broadcast via radio by El Sembrador Catholic Radio, KHPY (1670 AM) Moreno Valley. Guadalupe Radio (87.7 FM), El Monte, also is expected to broadcast the event, and also broadcast from a stage outside the Rose Bowl, Parking Lot H, on May 19 from Noon to 6 p.m. and provide entertainment and free gifts for people who come early and picnic around the stage. These radio broadcasts are expected to provide simultaneous translations of the English speakers, so those persons who speak Spanish only are encouraged to bring portable radios and earphones to tune in to these stations.

Cardinal Roger Michael Mahony
Archbishop of Los Angeles

A Los Angeles native, Cardinal Mahony was ordained a priest in 1962, named Bishop of Fresno in 1975, Bishop of Stockton in 1980 and appointed Archbishop of Los Angeles in 1985. He currently serves on the Committees for Liturgy, Pro-Life Activities, Domestic Policy and Mission and Structure for the National Conference of Catholic Bishops. For the Vatican, Cardinal Mahony serves as a member of the Prefecture of Economic Affairs, the Pontifical Council for Social Communications and the Study of Organizational and Economic Problems of the Holy See.

Auxiliary Bishop - Archdiocese of Los Angeles

Bishop Oscar Solis, the first Filipino-American Bishop to be ordained in the US, was named by Auxiliary Bishop of Los Angeles and Titular Bishop of Urci by Pope John Paul II in December, 2003. Bishop Solis currently serves as Vicar General / Episcopal Vicar for the Office of Ethnic Ministry and Office of Peace and Justice for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Born in San Jose, Nueva Ecija – Philippines, Bishop Solis was ordained in 1979, serving in Manila and Cabanatuan thru 1984 when he was assigned to the Archdiocese of Newark, NJ. Prior to his election as bishop, he served in the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, LA.

Supreme Knight of the Knights of Columbus

Mr. Anderson serves as the Supreme Knight for the largest Catholic family fraternal organization in the world. He taught as visiting professor of Family Law at the John Paul II Institute for Studies on marriage and family at the Pontifical lateran University in Rome. Appointed by Pope John Paul II to the Pontifical Academy for Life, the Pontifical council for the Laity and as a consulter to the Pontifical Council for the Family.

Immaculée Ilibagiza

Immaculée Ilibagiza, author of Left to Tell: Discovering God amidst the Rwandan Holocaust was born in Rwanda and studied Engineering at the University of Rwanda. In 1994, during the Rwanda genocide, she lost most of her family, but survived to share the story and her miraculous transition into forgiveness and a profound relationship with God. In 1998, she immigrated to the US and began working for the UN. She founded the Left to Tell Charitable Fund to deal with the long-term effects of genocide and war. Immaculée, now 36, lives in Long Island with her husband and their two children.
